Matt Whelan is an experienced machine operator and qualified plumber. Matt manages projects during the construction phase looking after day to day issues and stakeholder satisfaction.
Matt ensures environmental management is undertaken appropriately and monitors the on‐site quality of the works. He is the first point of contact for the contract superintendent.
Andrew Whelan completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering before returning to Whelans Group Investments in 2014.
He is responsible for managing the on-site engineering and surveying team at Whelans Group Investments. He is the environmental representative, site OH&S representative as well as provides technical support for projects.
Tim Whelan worked for a civil construction company upon completion of his Civil Engineering degree, returning to Whelans Group in 2010. With his years of experience, he now manages the civil construction arm of Whelans Group Investments.
Tim manages the vertical integration between the quarries, heavy haulage, construction and engineering. He is responsible for quality assurance processes and oversees the civil construction activities.
Charlie Whelan established Whelans Swan Reach Pty Ltd in 1975 and has managed the business as it has developed to what it is today; East Gippsland’s largest and most professional civil construction company with associated quarries and heavy haulage business.
Charlie has overall responsibility and is responsible for business development and relationship networking whilst overseeing the subsidiary operations. He ensures stakeholder satisfaction.
John Dick is responsible for the strategic management of the company and the subsidiaries within Whelans Group Investments. He oversees the company financial performance and manages the HR function of the business.
John manages the Heavy Haulage division and is the contract manager for the East Gippsland Shire Council roads maintenance contract.
Bec Whelan joined the financial department at Whelans Group Investments in 2011 and has since successfully completed her Accounting degree in 2016.
Bec is responsible for ensuring the finance team operates efficiently and effectively, managing the day to day financial aspects at Whelans whilst also ensuring that accurate and timely reporting is available to management and relevant financiers.
Whelans Group Investments has a diverse, on-site Engineering team with a wide range of experience including estimating, design, surveying and implementing delivery strategies to meet project requirements.
