Whelans Earthmoving is an established East Gippsland based Division of Whelans Group Investments. With over 40 years industry experience the name has grown into an East Gippsland Icon.
 
Whelans’ Earthmoving has successfully delivered projects in Victoria, Northern Territory and NSW.
 
With works including: airfield construction,  heavy mining applications, major highway re‐alignments, railway works, waste facility construction, ocean entrance sand management, sub‐divisions, sporting complexes, house sites, driveways, dams and bush roads.

Whelans Group has a fleet of trucks to suit your transporting needs. Our range includes both tip trucks and floats so we can transport almost anything.
 
With capacities ranging from 5T patrol truck loads to 45T B‐ double loads, your requirements can be met.
 
Our heavy haulage floats range from tri‐axle configurations to quad axle and dolly configurations. These heavy vehicles are available for hire externally for any plant shifts required. We can supply certified pilot vehicle and operators for over‐ dimensional loads and can transport specialty loads of any size a possibility.
 
Most of Whelans fleet is approval to carry higher mass under the Performance‐Based Standards of the National Heavy Vehicle Register achieving higher productivity and safety through innovative and optimised vehicle design.
 
Whelans is showcasing the new “Ejecta” trailer in lieu of quad trailers which completely eliminates the risks associated with elevated tipping trailers rolling over and striking overhead power cables. This will significantly increase site safety. The “Ejecta” trailer was developed by Whelans in conjunction with a local engineering works.
 
The “Ejecta” trailer was awarded the Worksafe Victoria 2015 Health and Safety Invention of the Year.

WHELANS QUARRIES REALLY HAVE GOT YOU COVERED

 

Whelans operates six quarries in East Gippsland and one in the Wellington Shire, providing the full spectrum of quarry products ranging from civil construction to landscaping; A Class aggregates to non-descript crushed rock; concrete aggregates, screened river pebbles; gabions and select boulders.
 
With access to an enormous range of products, stone sizes and colours, including NATA accredited laboratory tested materials with delivery available, all your needs can be met.
 
Combine our fixed Quarry locations with our range of mobile crushing and screening equipment and there is no job or site we cannot reach.

ROCK PRODUCTS

We can supply a wide range of sealing or drainage aggregates, a variety of crushed rock classes, multiple sizes of rock, including walling, beaching and armour, in a variety of colours. We can also supply a wide range of products such as round stone, golden beach stone, screened gravel and washed sand. All products are NATA tested and meet specific requirements for any application.

We also offer a concrete recycling option for waste concrete and are able to cart unsuitable material off site. An on‐site crushing option is also available. We have mobile jaw/cone crushers and screens which are all fully mobile and can be transported to location for the production of various sizes of crushed materials.
 
Pre‐filled rock gabions can also be purchased from our Bruthen quarry to be transported to site.
