Lara Six Ways Intersection Upgrade

Principal: VIDA ROADS (FORMERLY MAJOR ROAD PROJECTS VICTORIA)
Location: Lara, victoria
Sector: Roads & Transport Infrastructure

Project Overview

Whelans Group has commenced civil construction works on the Lara Six Ways Intersection Upgrade on behalf of VIDA Roads, with traffic management measures, site establishment and barriers now in place.

The Lara Six Ways Intersection is a critical transport junction where Forest Road North, Forest Road South, Station Lake Road, Patullos Road, Flinders Avenue and Kees Road converge, providing an important connection to residential neighbourhoods, local businesses, schools and public transport services throughout the growing Lara community.

Designed to improve traffic flow, increase capacity and enhance safety for all road users, the upgrade includes replacing the existing roundabout with a signalised intersection, the addition of new turning lanes, upgraded pedestrian crossing facilities and active transport improvements.

With construction activities now underway, Whelans is delivering essential road and civil infrastructure that will support safer and more efficient movement through the intersection, helping accommodate future growth within the region and improving connectivity for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists alike.
