Our History
Established in East Gippsland in 1975, Whelans Group is built on a commitment to reliability, practical delivery and long-term relationships.
For decades, Whelans Group operated across the region, delivering earthworks, road construction, quarry operations and haulage to support local development.
From the outset, the business earned its reputation by doing the fundamentals well — delivering safely, following through on commitments and supporting clients across regional Victoria.
Working in remote and often challenging environments required adaptability, efficient logistics and strong decision-making on the ground. These early conditions shaped a practical, responsive approach to project delivery — one that continues to underpin the business today.

As infrastructure demand across Victoria grew, Whelans Group invested in building a broader and more integrated capability.
