Project Overview
Whelans Group is delivering civil construction works as part of the Lara Six Ways Intersection Upgrade on behalf of Vida Roads.
The Lara Six Ways Intersection is a critical transport junction where Forest Road North, Forest Road South, Station Lake Road, Patullos Road, Flinders Avenue and Kees Road converge. The intersection provides an important connection to residential neighbourhoods, local businesses, schools and public transport services throughout the growing Lara community.
The upgrade is designed to improve traffic flow, increase capacity and enhance safety for all road users. Key project features include replacing the existing roundabout with a signalised intersection, the addition of new turning lanes, upgraded pedestrian crossing facilities and active transport improvements.
Whelans is contributing to the delivery of essential road and civil infrastructure that will support safer and more efficient movement through the intersection, helping accommodate future growth within the region.
