Great Ocean Road & Inland Routes Renewal Program

Work Package 1 (Renewal)

February 2024 to May 2025

This project involved resurfacing and rebuilding sections of the Great Ocean Road and its inland routes across 11 sites at Winchelsea, Princetown, Peterborough, Nullawarre, and Allansford. These works involved clearing, excavation, pavement construction, drainage, asphalting, road barrier installation and linemarking.

Work Package 2 (Safety)

July 2024 to May 2025

This project involved delivering safety upgrades at nine locations along the Great Ocean Road between Fairhaven and Jan Juc, as well as completing intersection upgrades along the Great Ocean Road at Mepunga, Nullawarre and Nirranda.

Concurrent pavement rehabilitation packages delivered across dispersed coastal sites, incorporating drainage reconstruction, safety barrier installation and complex traffic staging.

Delivered within environmentally sensitive, high tourism corridors requiring disciplined program and environmental control.
