Dairy Supply Chain Upgrades - Cobden-Stonyford Road

December 2025 - April 2026

Whelans Group has been awarded the contract to design and construct key road improvements along Cobden-Stonyford Road, including:

  • Pavement rehabilitation with stabilisation, shoulder widening, and reconstruction (approx. 2.72 km total).

  • Driveway construction, clearing, earthworks, and drainage upgrades.

  • Installation of guard fencing and relocation of services.

  • Traffic management during works, plus new signage and pavement markings.

  • Site preparation, cleaning, and removal of surplus materials.

Safety Enhancements


As part of the Great Ocean Road and Inland Routes safety program, upgrades include:

  • Pavement and shoulder widening.

  • Road resurfacing and batter treatments.

  • Drainage improvements and barrier installation.
