Project Overview

Whelans Group has been awarded the construction of overtaking lanes along the Princes Highway West near Garvoc, forming part of ongoing upgrades to improve safety and traffic flow along this key regional corridor.

The project involves delivery within a live highway environment, requiring controlled staging, coordinated logistics and integration of earthworks, pavement and safety infrastructure.

Scope of Works

  • Bulk earthworks and formation construction

  • Pavement construction and full-depth reconstruction

  • Drainage integration and water management works

  • Traffic staging and control within a live operational corridor

  • Installation of safety barriers, guard fencing, signage and linemarking

Key Quantities

  • 11,700 m² of Type A fill

  • 27,900 m² of full-depth pavement construction

  • 57,300 m² of sealing

  • 1,460 m of WRSB safety barrier

  • 3,820 m of EZY Guard safety barrier
